It is only a matter of time before there is snow on the ground and we find ourselves reaching for our coats. If you’re not ready to let go of your Chuck’s yet, Converse has prepared the Chuck II for the inclement weather ahead with their Counter Climate Boot collection. One of the standouts for us is the Chuck II boot, which was revealed to us in Montreal a few days ago.

A purple light enveloped the venue and we found several pieces from the collection encased in ice. It was there where, Bryan Cioffi, Converse’s Creative Director, who described to us a picture he saw with a fellow colleague. In it was a man, a roadie, who was putting away concert equipment in the snow, and on his feet were Converse Chuck Taylor’s. This image resonated and it later led to the development of the Chuck II boot. The idea was simple, if people are going to wear their Converse all year round, why not create a pair that is made for the winter? The result was the Counter Climate Collection.

The new Chuck II boot sneaker emphasizes durability with a weatherized gum outsole with a rugged bottom. Meanwhile, the textured leather upper is paired with a sock-like liner that provides insulation. The finishing details include a heel tab for easy wear and a Lunarlon insole for all-day comfort.

$120.

Take a look at the entire collection at Converse and you can pick up a pair select retailers in Canada.
