After successfully launching a winterized version of their iconic Chuck Taylor sneaker, Converse continues to enhance their seasonal offerings with a new range for 2017. The first pair is dubbed the “Utility Hiker” and one of its distinctive features is the elasticated cuffs that envelope the top of the shoe. The second is a collaboration with Los Angeles based brand Slam Jam, which embodies the aesthetic of the classic ’70s silhouette but with updated stitching. Both are wrapped in a waterproof Gore-Tex upper, which essentially renders the sneaker ready to combat the snow and salt. The all-black pair takes the ’70s sneaker but adds a patchwork upper with heavy-duty ribbon detailing, along with extra long cotton laces for security.
