I finally had the chance to check out Ronnie Fieg’s retail location called KITH. The shop is really dope and houses some of your favorite footwear brands. Not to mention that he also has a Nike tier 0 account. The shop feels very friendly and has a real nice vibe to it. If you are ever in NYC make sure you check out the shop on Broadway.

Kith & Kin. That means friends and family. Kith also means to make known or become known in Old Scottish. When I began thinking about the concept of the store I wanted to keep things tight. I tried to create a friendly and personal environment with the highest quality footwear and attire for any occasion. I want people to come into the store and leave with a dope pair of shoes, and a feeling that they are a part of something special. My crew has been with me since the beginning and understand the importance of building relationships with each new face that walks through the door. “Just us,” that’s the idea. I want to make everyone that works in the store, purchases something in the store, or walks through the door, feel like they belong, and feel like family. My friends are my family. This is KITH. Back in October we ran into the guys from Saturdays Surf in Japan and they told us that they were about to open up shop in Japan. Happy to finally see this shop come to fruition. If can’t make your way out to Japan make sure to check out their NYC location.

I got invited to visit the newly establishment Eyewear & Optician company Tina Catherine. The spot is in the heart of New York City’s Chelsea neighbourhood where they house some of the best eyewear brands, such as Thom Browne, Dita, Persol and Oliver Peoples. They also offer full optician services which is great if you ever need to get your eyes tested and fitted for some new frames. The shop is operated and owned by some real cool young guys who understand brands, fashion and style. Make sure to check them out when you are in NYC.

My friends from ATR profiled a beautiful shop in Singapore called the Editor’s Market Store. I like the overall design of the shop and I think it has a lot to offer in terms of inspiration for design.
The Editor’s Market is a fashion-forward multi-label concept store with an extensive and unrivalled edit of street, indie and alternative fashion.

Club Monaco is one of my favorite places to shop in Montreal & Toronto. I always find myself shopping at Club Monaco at least 4 times a season right before Tradeshows when I need to pick up a few key items.
Their aesthetic is always clean, strong, fashionably on point and reasonably priced. I love their interpretation of classic pieces like the trench coat or button up shirt. This weekend in Toronto they opened the doors to the newly renovated Yorkville flagship store. They’ve transformed the bottom floor as a 1-stop men’s shop with great products, great merchandising and 3rd party brands such as Trickers’s, Tanner Goods and other made in America products. The highlight of the men’s shop was the launch of the Made in the USA collection curated by Michael Williams of A continuous Lean.
The new collection looks great and the shop looks fantastic.

A new shop pop up in Montreal last week and I had a chance to visit it today and it is pretty dope! Le Magasin General is french for General Store and carries some of your favorite brands. The shop is owned and operated by twin Duo Oli & Mer of Bruxe Design, the shop serves as their showroom, workshop and office.
They’ve reused and all the original elements of the existing space and decorated the space with 100 year old wood and materials from a barn. The store has been restored to the original walls and floor.
Very exciting to have another fresh shop in Montreal.
When we launched Bruxe Design 4 years ago we started to discuss the idea of opening a general store to house our brand. Not your typical general store, but one which focuses on design and fashion with a curated mix of clothing, fashion accessories, jewelry, books and design objects for home, office and travel. We’re happy to announce that we have finally opened the doors to our new store. Situated in the heart of the NDG neighborhood of Montreal in a classic heritage building, our new store will showcase all Bruxe products as well as Betina Lou, Naked and Famous, Levis, Clae, Comune, Lifetime, Furni Creations, Neuvo Watches, Harvey McLeod jewelry, Vans OTW, as well as many independent designers.

The great folks of Sir & Madame Chicago celebrated their 1 year anniversary last week. I had an opportunity to check out the shop when I was in town. The shop feels friendly and home-like which is always a great feeling. Thanks to the SIR & MADAME family for the love and hospitality. They sell some of your favorite brands and also their own brand by the store name.
They have a great accessories collection that is made in America like those nice backpacks with leather trims.
Check it out online or in person.

Our Story
In 2005, Adam Beltzman ditched his day job as a lawyer, rolled up his sleeves and set out to create the store he felt was missing in Chicago. He gave some serious thought about what he would want in a men’s shop and at long last came up with a great idea. He decided to bring back the haberdashery – the traditional men’s store of yesteryear. A local, one-stop shop tailored for men and only men. A store where gentlemen received a high level of service, were treated with respect and were made to feel comfortable while shopping for their wardrobe. A shop where men would hang out to talk about events of the day and could take care of their clothing needs for both work and leisure. So, he put a modern spin on that old school store and haberdash was born in Chicago’s historic Old Town neighborhood.
In 2009, Adam partnered with industry veteran Jerry Kamhi to expand the concept and create a new model in menswear.
