News

I’m extremely happy to announce the launch of the Marcus Troy & Nike Maverick Project app for the Iphone & Ipod touches. The app is now available for free download in the apple store.

I created the app so people can have the Mavericks Project and Marcustroy.com on the go. I want it to be a new forum and place where you all can participate in my everyday life.

My team and I have worked extremely hard to bring you guys the aesthetic and feel that you’ve guys have grown to love and appreciate, we even added a few little extra for you guys to digest.

I worked with Andy and his team from The Great Big Apps to develop this app just in time for you guys for the holiday season.

The application allows you to Navigate trough The Maverick Project where you can read, upload and share stories just like the microsite. Some cool features that I am extremely excited about is the ability for you all  to find and take pictures of your own  Coolhunts and  retail locations and upload them yourself. You will be able to share your finds with the rest of the world!

Look out for more updates as the app develops.

We’ve worked really hard all year to bring you guys the new marcustroy.com site, the Nike Mavericks Project microsite site and now the app.

Thank you for your continued support!

Coming to the Blackberry, Android and Ipad soon.

Special thank you to Shane, Bobby, Brendan, Andy & Chad

big-pony-collection

I’m a fan of RL fragrances. Check the press release below

“Ralph Lauren has launched a new line of men’s fragrances dubbed the Big Pony collection.

The collection takes inspiration from the designer’s Big Pony shirts embroidered with an oversize version of Ralph Lauren’s signature polo-player logo.

The collection of four fragrances – labeled one to four – represent four key passions: Sport, Seduction, Adventure and Style.

The number four has additional significance, as it is the number of players on a polo team.

Sport is citrus aromatic, with refreshing lime and grapefruit notes to address the challenge of the performance.

The Seductive fragrance is a sexy mix of dark chocolate and musk with oriental layers.

The green Adventurous bottle is a thrilling woody mix of mint and ginger root that triggers an adrenaline rush.

And lastly, the Stylish scent is an energizing boost that layers mandarin and kyarawood for a one-of-a-kind stylish edge.

The Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection fragrances will be available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette; there will also be a coffret with all four fragrances in smaller bottles.” via Luxu

Andaz 5th Avenue opens in New York

The amazing hotel I blogged about when I was in LA is set to open its doors in New York City this week! The Andaz boutique hotel will be opening this week on 5th avenue in the former Tommy Hilfiger headquaters.

“The hotel is the third opening this year for rapidly-expanding Andaz, which says that it wants to make guests feel like they’ve been welcomed into a friend’s home, rather than a hotel.”

“Like other Andaz properties, the 184-room Andaz Fifth Avenue doesn’t feature a reception desk, instead preferring to check people in over a drink in the lounge or whilst walking to their room.”

The interior, designed by Tony Chi, is also designed to add a home-like feeling to the space, with the designer opting for exposed pipe ceilings, open kitchens and residential furniture, as well as sash windows that “pay homage to New York City’s pre-war apartments and factories”.

Many rooms have floor to ceiling windows and all offer marble bathrooms with dual sinks, rainfall shower heads and a porcelain footbath in the shower – perfect for refreshing the feet after a hard day pounding the New York streets.

Guests can choose between the locally sourced shop, a 38-seat restaurant and a cellar bar for food and refreshment options, whilst events can be held in “Apartment 2E”, a catered space designed to resemble an apartment where guests can mingle with the chefs or access the hotel’s open-air courtyard.
