2016-audi-a4-2-5With the announcement of Audi‘s next generation of its popular A4 model, the german automotive is sticking to the A4’s winning formula and adding a little more oomph.

The midsize sedan, which is rival BMW’s 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class, features sharper lines, along with a lighter and larger body, but still looks unmistakably like its old self. The new A4 now weighs in 264 pounds lighter than its 2015 predecessor, thanks to the aluminum materials in the exterior.  The interior also looks more luxe and features an improved MMI® control concept, a virtual cockpit featuring a 12.3-inch LCD screen, Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

The powertain has not been announced for North America but we expect it to be something like their newest 2.0-liter TSFI turbocharged inline-four with 272 horsepower. The 2016 Audi A4 is expected to be available in Germany this fall, and a North American release set to be announced within the following months.
