This month, we invite you to #ExploreYourTastes with another classic summertime recipe from Café Troy. Like our potato salad recipe, it incorporates KRAVE jerky and you’ll likely need two to three packages, as you will be using it to garnish the dish when it’s ready to serve. For this month, we’re showing you guys how to make our special Mac-N-Cheese. Take a look at the recipe below and let us know what you guys think!

Cooking directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions and then set aside.
  3. Take a large saucepan and melt your butter.
  4. Mix your flour, salt, and pepper together.
  5. Pour milk and cream in gradually; stirring constantly.
  6. Bring to your mixture to a boiling point; make sure you keep stirring.
  7. Reduce heat and cook for 10 more minutes; keep stirring.
  8. Add shredded cheddar little by little as it blends into the mix and simmer until all the cheese melts.
  9. Turn off the heat.
  10. Add the cooked macaroni to the saucepan and coat it well with the cheese sauce.
  11. Butter the interior of your baking dish.
  12. Transfer macaroni to the baking dish.
  13. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  14. Bake for 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.


  • 1 package of macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups of good shredded, good quality cheddar cheese
  • 1⁄2 cup of grated KRAVE Jerky for garnishing
