Nooka collaborates with Gommi Arcade for what I believe to be their best collaboration to date. Gommi Arcade is a japanese anime-inspired lifestyle brand and they collaborated with Nooka to bring you this limited edition, ‘future-shock’ zub timepiece. This unique piece is a twist on the time manipulation device worn by Gommi in the ‘future-shock’ comic/manga, which is written by Zak Hoke for Gommi Arcade, inc.

The watch will feature signature ‘gommi marvel’ artwork and a blue zot face with a white polyurethane band.
Limited to 800 pieces and releases this March.

I can’t get behind these future retro watches. In my opinion a watch should be a beautiful accessory. Especially for a man (seeing as most men don’t accessorize to much) not a burden made out of white plastic. Plus, it looks like it would be really tough to tell time.

I really do like the blue accent off the white though.

What do I know? Don’t mean to sound like a hater.

@Dane: Yo don’t sound like a hater at all! I ask for your opinion, I am always interested in hearing what people think about things. You gave your valid reasons. I think this watch is great, not as a everyday piece but a great conversation piece. I believe a man should own several watches for different occasions.

    Awe man!

You know…G-Shock is classic and is good for a few reasons that we’ll always love and respect…but Nooka x Gommi is that future time ticker…I’m still a believer in both.

Although them price points for Nooka are a bit high, you won’t find it in Foot Locker (smh @G-Shock watches with Press Releases that end up in there…that’s crazy)…but personal taste doesn’t have a price tag.

    Well done Mr Hoke…well done.

    What the deal Mr.M!

I’m also a fan of the “nice time piece” genre. I do agree G-Shocks do take the cake. But the one talked about has a different flare. Don’t know if you’ve rated the new Nixon watches…very nice indeed.
