Accessories: Arwey Notebooks

September 7th, 2011

I tweeted earlier “What do you guys look for in a notebook?” and I got some pretty hilarious answers, especially one from Bun B who replied  ”PAPER”. In all seriousness I am noticing a surge in notebook popularity which is odd because of this highly digital world that we live in. My friend Nick from Complex usually shows up on press trips with a notebook in hand while others have digital recorders. As of recently I started writing things down in a notebook and I like the feeling even though my handwriting is getting worse.

I recently received some notebooks from Arwey and I was really impressed with the quality.

There are a lot of notebook options available in the market place. What do you guys look for in a notebook.

Are these better than the Moleskin notebooks?

    Just asking…

Moleskin happens might be the leader in the notebook business but there are certainly other options out there.

When i first saw Arwey, I was instantly drawn into the notebooks in fashionable colours and their simple design. I ordered! And boy, I was not disappointed with this description when the notebooks arrived.

I’m a Moleskine enthusiast (or maybe just a hypebeast for their marketing machine, haha), but these are really dope. Personally, I look for a minimalist design and durable paper. In today’s increasingly paperless society, to me, one of the best parts about having a notebook is the old school feel of having one; in that sense, I prefer an understated notebook instead of one with a fancy cover. Then again, understated is my style anyway.

At any rate, these Arweys are really dope for the functionality – I like the varied colors, the perforated pages are dope, and the information pages in the back are cool. Feel free to have a contest for these, Marcus! haha
