The new Todd Snyder collection is pretty incredible. My favorite standout piece has to be this interpretation of a classic trench coat in grey. This seasons I’m all about grey and navy so this jacket is on the must have list.

Great things happen when you follow cool people on instagram. Yesterday Nick Wooster previewed his collaboration with Orlebar Brown. These camouflage shorts dubbed the Wooster Camo were shown at the Pitti show in Italy. I think these look great, I love the camouflage pattern. I have a few pairs of Orlebar Brown shorts and I think they are the best swimming shorts on the market. Looking forward to these.

The weather has been getting a bit chilly here in Montreal and you want to make sure that you are equipped with the right gear. My friends over at Penfield sent me over this great expedition jacket for the upcoming winters called the Hoosac. Since coming back from Japan I’ve been all about Navy  colored items and this jacket is perfect in that color.

I can’t wait to combat the winter elements in this down parka. I had my brother model the jacket yesterday to show you guys the great style of the coat and how you can wear it. Don’t forget you have a chance to win a special Penfield jacket of your own!

Details:

A heavyweight expedition parka with a generous 360 grams of 550 fill power 80/20 down, the Hoosac excels in extreme conditions. Made up in our hardwearing 60/40 cotton nylon and available in a 70’s inspired Cobalt Blue color, the parka is both water-resistant and windproof.

The detachable and fully adjustable coyote fur hood, combined with an internal waist cinch, allows you to customize the fit and feel of your parka providing maximum comfort and performance in wind, rain and snow. A zip and button up front with fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets ensure that you stay cozy and dry when the temperature drops.

High quality details such as leather cord pullers and the classic Penfield leather arm patch make this well-known style unique and stylish.

I’ve been documenting the growth of Marshall Artist for some time now, and I am so happy with where the collection is going. This week I got a sneak peek of the Holiday 11 collection and this was 1 of my standout pieces. The 3 piece suits with two different pant options, straight leg and military field trousers. It is a great interpretation of a classic hunting jacket and vest.

When I saw this suit it reminded me of Christian Bale’s style in Public Enemy number 1. I like it a lot.

What do yo look for when purchasing a winter jacket? The first thing I look for when shopping for a winter jacket is function and then I look for style, I don’t think you can go wrong if you follow those steps. Here you have my new Penfield Halstad Black Bear Down Jacket, I’ve been looking for the perfect down jacket to replace my other winter coat and I think I’ve found it. The folks over at Off The Hook have collaborated with Penfield on a Pop up Shop that has the best selection from Penfield and the Black Bear collection. You can find the Halstad and other great Black Bear jackets there.

The reasons why I love this jacket:

The fit: It fit’s close to the body so it is not a bulky down jacket. You can dress it up with slacks and dress boots or you can dress it down with denim and hiking boots.

The Color: I love the color gray for this season, it compliments all my other winter accessories.

Functionality:  A Black Bear down jacket featuring six utility pockets, the Halstad’s outer is constructed in our weatherproof DWR fabric while our premium 80/20 down provides the insulation. The storm flap combines a zip with seven snaps to ensure good protection from the winter wind while the fully adjustable hood can be removed on clear days. Snap-closure cuffs, featuring a micro fleece lining is typical of the jacket’s high spec.

Check out the Off the Hook Pop up shop.

I think most of my friends know of my love for camouflage pieces and sometimes they enable my addiction by giving me pieces. Yesterday my homies at Penfield gave me the new Rockford Waxed Down filled Penfield Jacket. I put a few iphone pictures up last night and most of you went crazy as I did when I first saw it. The jacket is simply #dope. There is not much more I can say about it. I started wearing the jacket yesterday and I still have it on as I write this. You can’t go wrong with a down feather waxed camo jacket, can you?

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on this Barbour International Steve McQueen Rexton Jacket while I was out in Vegas a few weeks ago. The jacket is amazing and I can’t wait to break it in and commit the ultimate wear test. This is a real man’s jacket and I suggest you purchase a Barbour jacket if you want to step out in style. The classic piece is so iconic and I am looking forward to wearing it a lot.

A multi-pocketed distressed finish 8oz heavyweight wax jacket inspired from the A7 jacket. This motorcycling garment features the original International label and the I.D.S.T team badge in the left-hand side. “Racing is life,” declared Steve McQueen. “Anything before or after is just waiting.” McQueen raced motorbikes to pay his way through acting school. He raced Six Day Trials on the USA Team, wearing Barbour’s weatherproof and ergonomic International biker jacket. And he raced around the deserts of California – which provides the backdrop for this season’s Barbour Steve McQueen™ Collection. The iconic A7 Barbour INternational jacket was the uniform of choice for the British International Six Day Trials team from the 1950′s right through to the 70s. In 1964 the USA team including Steve McQueen, adopted the ‘International’ as the best proven defence against the European weather. The effortless way in which the jacket design coped with rain and mud made it the perfect choice, while the ergonomic design of the back cargo pockets were especially ideal for crucial storage.

This week I went to the 21 Mercer shop in New York and I got a chance to check out the new Nike Sportswear NSW collection known as Made in Italy. The collection is fantastic and the quality of the garments are pretty awesome. The styling draws inspiration from Tennis and the players who play the game. I could not get over how great the product felt to the touch and how it looked on the mannequins and displays . The product is a bit expensive but keep in mind that you are paying for quality.

The nylon peacoat is absolutely stunning and my favorite piece of the collection.

If you have a chance to check out the collection and pick up a couple of piece I strongly suggest that you do.

Enjoy!

I love when a product responds to my needs of style & function. While I was out in Vegas for the PROJECT show I was introduced to the New York based brand by the name of Outlier’s who make tailored performance products. These Slim dungarees are amazing! They are waterproof and perfect for that rain storm or wet bike ride. As you can see I poured water on the pants for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks Nick for the introduction!

The  COMUNE Olsen denim waxed jacket is pretty awesome. I’ve been wearing it at night when the weather cools down and it is perfect. These days waxed garments are my favorite, so a waxed denim coat is perfect.

Olsen Jacket: 100% Cotton.

Fitted denim jacket sewn domestically in Downtown LA, front pleats secured with box stitching, chest patch pockets and welt pockets at waist.

I’m really feeling Comune’s newest collection!
