My conversation with Ernie:
Topic: Favors
Never promise to do too many things for people, you will always get burnt if you can’t deliver. People always tell you they can do things and make things happen for you, then they get stressed when they can’t deliver. Have you ever promise people things and then you forgot or did not get around to it and then you get stressed? You never want to be that guy. That you have 5 favors coming down the pipeline and then you just want to disappear from the world?
When people ask you to do things based on your relationship with them, always be careful that it does not jeopardize what you believe in. At the end of the day you have to make sure it benefits you as well if not don’t do it.
“If you ask me for a favor, you better make sure you can do something for me. Don’t feel like you can just ask me to do something without a benefit to me when it is about business. When it comes to friendship I will do the world for you” Ernie
“Would you rather be the asshole for being truthful to someone or would you rather be the asshole who says he can do something but never deliver?” You always have to pick which asshole you want to be! Ernie
Everyone thinks they have a hot idea and or opprotunity, if after 5 days of trying to reach you the idea is still hot in their head, you might want to listen to it and take it into consideration. If after the idea they pitch you is simmered down maybe it was not so hot to begin with. So make sure before you do someone a favor and just jump on what they are pitching you make sure you know that they have fully thought their “HOT” idea trough.
I had this conversation with Ernie this morning in an office. These are some of the great points and quotes I retained.

Hint Mag reports that Takahiro Miyashita’s Japanese label Number (N)ine is the latest casualty of the financial crisis:
“Today we received a letter (an actual letter, so you know it’s serious) from Number (N)ine. It started with this quote: “When you’re finished changing, you’re finished.” You guessed it: the Tokyo-based, Paris-showing men’s label launched 12 years ago by Takahiro Miyashita is closing. The fall ’09 collection—portentously called A Closed Feeling—was the last. Miyashita will exit the group, which has already begun disbanding, and “the brand as we know it will come to an end.” The letter goes on to say “Over the last decade, Number (N)ine evolved, always forging ahead with a unique and potent vision, to emerge as one of the leading brands of Japan.” We agree with the sentiment. Number (N)ine will be missed.”

I’m got the high bosey boots and I ave to say that I love them! They released a this pair for the spring in canvas, which I think is very fresh. I like the fact that they already look dirty.
“Converse by John Varvatos Bosey Boots
Updated with a lightweight, canvas upper, John Varvatos issues a second
assortment of the stylish boots unveiled last season. Using the Converse
by John Varvatos signature painted-canvas and soles, the shoe has an
ultra worn-in look and feel with uppers that have the look of perfectly
faded denim. The soles paint-treatment presents a look that is accented
by the grooves and unique detail featured on the shoe’s outsole and
toe-cap giving the shoes a hand-made look and feel. Inspired by a Bosey
boot from the Converse archives, the shoe was born of utility, yet
elevated to luxury with their haberdasher linings, pigskin footbeds and
choice of waxed or leather laces. The Converse by John Varvatos Bosey
Boots are available in black painted canvas, or dark grey painted
canvas. Shoes in this collection retail for MSRP $150 and will be
available nationwide at specialty retailers, department stores and
online at www.converse.com.”
Thanks to Keith for the info.

I took a trip Up North (not the mobb Deep kind) to unplug from the world after a long a** time in Las Vegas. This trip was very personal, so I won’t be sharing all the pictures but I have to show you some pics of this crazy cottage. I had amazing time without my blackberrys or phones! You all should try and unplug for a couple of days.
The sauna (hot room)
We played my famous game of monopoly and believe it or not I was the first one kicked off!
marshmallows over the candle light
It’s been a long 15 days…

Cruising trough the Vegas streets to get to the party of the week!
We went to the Hudson Jeans x Creative Recreation which is usually the best party of the week! Everyone usually shows up sooner or later and the ladies are out in full effect. We had a table of Goose and Patron and then the party started!
The homie Hardeep
A huge fight broke out in the club which was kind of hilarious! Seeing a guy get choked out on the dance floor was kind of unexpected.
The homies Teddy and David
Wow I thought this picture came out way better than it did! Here you have the homie Joe La Puma and Mike Van! By the time I took this picture, it looked exactly the way I saw them, I was so faded.
