The search for Miss Universe Canada 2008 continues!!!!! Please visit our website to meet the Sixty Two (62) National Delegates competing for the title of Miss Universe Canada 2008 and the rights to represent our country at the Miss Universe 2008 competition in Vietnam in July of 2008.

This National competition will take place in the city of Toronto, Ontario on Saturday April 26th at 8:00pm and Monday April 28th at 7:30pm at the Winter Garden Theatre.

You can vote for your Sonja Mcree as your favourite delegate at http://www.beautiesofcanada.com/2008/sonja.htm The delegate with the highest number of votes between April 1st and April 26th (noon – EST) will win the YAK’s People’s Choice Award’ and will automatically be one of the top 20 Semi-finalists. John Varvatos has opened a new NYC retail store at 315 Bowery Street in the East Village. The store rests at the former location of the world famous CBGB rock & punk band haven that hosted highlight performers including the Ramones, Debbie Harry,Talking Heads, Sick of It All, and many others.
Varvatos has managed to preserve some of the classic feel and visual sentiments of the immortal venue.

The venue, looks so dope, I see they kept the CBGB feel alive.

We’re not living in a very creative era. That’s not good or bad; it’s just the way it is. I think it’s in very bad taste to buy art right now. People should leave it to the hedge-fund owners who want to satisfy their wives. “Hey, I bought a Chinese avant-garde thing.” Good for you.

I think it’s very important to look sexy at home. I hate it when people say, “I will take this to the countryside because it’s not fashionable anymore.” I love being well-dressed when nobody’s looking at me.

At hotels, they always mess up the cleaning. They will do a crease when it’s not necessary. You give them a cotton shirt and they dry-clean it. It smells funny, so you have to rinse it again. So I travel light.

If you can tell a man’s sexuality by the way he dresses—like a “gay” uniform or a “macho” uniform—that’s disgusting.

Nowadays, people work out way too much, and they look like invaders from another planet. A guy who works out two hours a day—focusing on his chest because he thinks it’s sexy—you can’t dress him, even if you send him to the best designer or stylist in the world.
