Clothing: P.A.M Good Life Crew
Being an avid reader of blogs gives me some insight on new and exciting things happening around the world, so one day while I was visiting the blog everyone loves to hate, I came across this brand called P.A.M. which is also known as Perks and Mini they hail from Melbourne Australia. I was so stoked on their design and attention to detail that I visited Garry Bones Boutique I.E (Illustrated example) in Vancouver in hopes to find and find a couple pieces but they were already sold out in my size. On my recent visit to Edmonton, I made it a mission to visit Haven shop which blew me away( read more about Haven in retail section) and they had the mother load. The consumer that I am, I had to pick up this piece you see above “The good life crewneck” I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear this piece. Details as follows: The front is wool and the back is fleece, the pockets are layered and fringed. This has moved up in rotation as my favorite crew neck of the season.
Accessories: Common Project
So as of late I have been tired of carrying around my laptop in my school bag (especially since I haven’t seen a classroom in years) and a school bag really doesn’t look fresh with a pea coat. So I have been using my Project bag (free bag you get a trade shows) until I get a “manpurse” that could really sit well with me and not look like a “manpurse.” Common Project who’s known for their really fresh and unique footwear also create some great accessories which you can see on their site. This bag is part of their winter collection and should already be in stores.
People: Hiroki Nakaruma
Hiroki Nakaruma is the creative director behind 1 of my favorite footwear brands Visvim, you might notice that I talk about the brand quite often. I try to bring you PEOPLE who inspire me in various ways and as a creative person myself I am inspired by the creativity of Hiroki and what he has done for the brand. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Nakaruma but he seems like a great person from the various interviews I have read about him. To learn more about Hiroki and the Visvim movement, head over to SlamxHype for his latest interview.
Footwear: Visvim
I became a fan of Visvim footwear about 3 years ago, the only problem was that they were extremely hard to find, until Nomad in Toronto got the collection (which was closer to home) and soon after they started showing up at the finest shops around the world. So I got myself a few pairs but at the $400 + price tag I rather pay for a mortgage. These are the new moccasins they have just released, please keep in mind these shoes are not for everybody so keep an open mind.
