Hiroki Nakaruma is the creative director behind 1 of my favorite footwear brands Visvim, you might notice that I talk about the brand quite often. I try to bring you PEOPLE who inspire me in various ways and as a creative person myself I am inspired by the creativity of Hiroki and what he has done for the brand. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Nakaruma but he seems like a great person from the various interviews I have read about him. I became a fan of Visvim footwear about 3 years ago, the only problem was that they were extremely hard to find, until Nomad in Toronto got the collection (which was closer to home) and soon after they started showing up at the finest shops around the world. So I got myself a few pairs but at the $400 + price tag I rather pay for a mortgage. These are the new moccasins they have just released, please keep in mind these shoes are not for everybody so keep an open mind.
